remote interpreting
Video Remote Interpreting, or VRI, allows the consumer to instantly access an interpreter.
Instead of sending out an interpreter to the job site, VRI utilizes web-based videoconferencing technology to connect the interpreter (located remotely) with the hearing and deaf consumers (located together). This is a convenient and economical way to meet your legal responsibilities while saving time, money, and the hassle of struggling to find an interpreter at the last minute.
Currently, we offer immediate access to interpreters for the following languages:
•American Sign Language
•Spanish
•Italian
•Polish
•Japanese
•Vietnamese
Why use VRI instead of an on-site interpreter?
• No travel fees
•No emergency fees
•No minimum time requirements
•Immediate access to certified and qualified interpreters
•Pay only for the time you use
•Reliable and cost-effective
When to use VRI?
VRI might not be appropriate for every situation that requires an interpreter, but is ideal for small one-on-one meetings, such as doctor’s visits, or for deaf employees within a company. Pay only for the time you use, not the amount of time the patient is waiting to see the doctor.
